Choosing your home location can be very exciting. There are many varied places around North America to choose from. You must decide what climate you like, your preferences for urban or country living, and how big is your budget.
Once you know what part of the country you want to be in, you need a home site.
What is your ideal? How can you achieve it? Do you need it right away, or can you wait for a good opportunity? When you find a nice location, what are the attributes of the land? Where should you build? What is the view like? What is the ground like? What resources do you have on that land, like water, drainage ability for a septic system, water flowing downhill to generate electricity, sun for solar power, wind for wind power, etc.?
